Program Description:

This program is an intermediate wedding photography class that uses lecture, demonstration, and hands on posing techniques with the students. Participants can expect to gain the confidence that they can pose any bride and groom with any body, any shape, any time. The techniques are easy to understand and it is guaranteed that everyone will walk way with something.

With over 30 years practicing the Art of Photography, Hanson will share his techniques that apply to both portrait and wedding photography. He will demonstrate the Classic 10 poses that he pioneered, which will allow you to handle any body type quickly on a hectic wedding day. Hanson will help you analyze different body sizes resulting in a proportional balance to each other. If you’ve ever struggled with placing a large body next to a small one or a tall person next to a short person, Hanson’s techniques will make you more confident in positioning your subjects and making them all look good. What makes his techniques unique is that they can be applied to both portrait and wedding photography, and they only take seconds to do.

In addition to hands on posing techniques, lighting and metering techniques will also be covered. You will be learning how to photograph under any lighting conditions; church, indoors, out doors with bright sun or shade- anyplace, anytime. Hanson’s approach to finding the proper light outdoors is simple and uncomplicated, yet helps you create those highly desirable beautiful and timeless portraits that every bride deserves.
